Spring At Barber’s

A Season of Growth and Gratitude

As the first signs of spring return to the Somerset countryside, there’s a fresh sense of optimism at Barber’s. From our family farms to our cheese dairies, 2025 has begun with strong momentum, new opportunities, and plenty to celebrate.

Recent shifts in international trade have brought fresh challenges for exporters across the UK dairy industry. But at Barber’s, we’ve taken it in our stride. Thanks to the dedication of our teams, we continue to bring the flavour of authentic British cheddar to customers around the world. Proving once again that resilience and teamwork are at the heart of what we do.

Our Nature Positive initiative continues to take root across our network of family-run farms. This collaborative programme supports farmers in building biodiversity, improving soil health, and reducing carbon impact. Ensuring our commitment to sustainable dairy farming remains as strong as ever.

It’s been a busy season in our dairies and production sites, where teams have been managing high milk volumes, completing key improvement projects, and preparing for the next wave of innovation. Their hard work and craftsmanship are the foundation of the quality Barber’s is known for.

This spring also sees us say goodbye to a long-standing team member whose creativity and skill have left a lasting mark on the business. We thank them for their incredible contribution and wish them every happiness in their next adventure.

From record production to inspiring community stories, the Barber’s family continues to grow stronger together. As we look ahead to summer, our focus remains the same as it’s been since 1833:

Crafting cheddar without costing the earth and supporting the people who make it all possible.
