Coastal Cheddar, Haggis & Chestnut Pin Wheels

  • A quick and easy winter warmer! Inspired by Burns Night, James Strawbridge has designed a Scottish take on puff pastry pin wheels filled with delicious haggis, Coastal, chestnuts, leeks and wholegrain mustard. To follow along with James please click here


    Shopping list

    • handful of Coastal
    • 250g Haggis
    • 2 leeks
    • Handful of chestnuts
    • 1 tbsp wholegrain mustard
    • Puff Pastry
    1. Step 1

      Dice the haggis, chestnuts and leeks. Sautee in a pan with a splash of water and a tbsp of wholegrain mustard
    2. Step 2

      Once everything is cooked add a handful of grated coastal cheddar. Spread the mixture across the sheet of puff pastry as evenly as possible. Roll the pastry and leave a 1″ gap when you get to the end, brush gap with egg wash and seal.
    3. Step 3

      Slice the roll to the thickness you desire. Place on a lined baking tray, add another layer of grated coastal and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
