Smooth, rich, nutty and earthy flavour. Savoury with slightly sweet elevation.
Perfectly complemented by full-bodied red wines with a strong flavour. Try a classic Claret from Bordeaux in France or Cabernet Sauvignon from South Africa.
Wookey Hole Cave Aged Cheddar, with its earthy depth and tangy bite, pairs beautifully with rustic bread, plum chutney, and a pint of traditional ale. It’s also excellent alongside crisp apples or toasted walnuts to balance its intensity.
